Due to ongoing commitments in the enduro world championship Brad Freeman has been forced to withdraw from the ACU GB ISDE world trophy team. He has been replaced by Kevin Murray. The team is now:
ACU GB ISDE WORLD TROPHY TEAM
Kevin Murray: “I’m surprised, happy and proud in equal measure at being asked to take Brad Freeman’s place in the GB squad at this year’s ISDE in France. Brad pulled out in order to ensure he stays safe for the remaining world championship rounds, a shame as Brad is showing incredible pace this year.
“After competing in the first of my 12 ISDEs in 1999 this will be my third time riding for Team GB. Having placed fourth in C2 last year I was already looking forward to improving on that result, but this news from Team Manager Dusty Martin has blown me away!
“Thanks to the REME Enduro team, Hebo, Michelin, Putoline, Rip’n’Roll, Kriega, Endurotyres, and to my dad, for getting me ready for this opportunity. This just leaves the small problem of swapping my 350 for an E3 machine in time… Vive La France!”
ACU GB ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin: “With the 2017 ISDE falling in the middle of the competition calendar we were always going to face issues with rider availability. Brad could not have predicted the season he would have this year and how that has created the commitments he now has to his backers. We respect that he has new responsibilities this year and while this is the second major blow to the team in a matter of days it is something we were prepared for.
“So we’re delighted to be able to fall back on to a rider of the experience and ability that we have in Kev Murray, his performance at last year’s ISDE was exceptional and we couldn’t ask for a better replacement. We now have quite a mix of youth and experience in our team – it’ll make for an interesting ISDE, that’s for sure!””
