More than 200 riders attended a new version of Red Bull Los Andes 2018. Mario Roman took the win of the super expert class. Not far behind was South African Wade Young, who fought side by side with national champion Benjamin Herrera.
The prologue was inside a commercial centre and outside the enclosure, there was a jetty inside the riders had to cross a moving footbridge. Saturday the riders faced the main test in a private farm surrounded by the snowy peaks of Chile. The track was about 50 minutes and had all the elements for a real hard enduro.
Mario Roman “Wade and Benjamin went full steam ahead, but I followed them closely despite the dust they raised. Shortly after I put second behind Wade and I was waiting to know what his strategy would be. However, I saw that my rhythm was better and forward at the crossing of a river. From then on i took the lead and won Wade Young who, until now, was winning everything. I’m very happy”.
