Dates Released for Hixpania Hard Enduro 2018

Hixpania Hard Enduro 2018 will take place from October 12th to 14th in Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia). The only international hard enduro that is celebrated in Spain with the best riders of the specialty. It will have three days of racing based in the Middle Ages. Registration will be open on June 1st.

Hixpania Hard Enduro returns to Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia) on 12th, 13th and 14th October 2018. The only way to see and race against the best hard enduro riders in Spain. The race will have three race days: on Friday 12th October, the riders will have free practice time around the Saturday track and in the afternoon they will compete in the SuperEncierro Prolog. It is a prolog of artificial obstacles in the main medieval square of Aguilar de Campo. On Saturday, riders will race around the reservoir of Aguilar with a renewed and more intense track because the reservoir is at higher levels than in the previous edition.

Furthermore, another of the news of this year will be the final uphill of the final race on October 14th, The Lost Way. For the first time, the riders will not receive help to ascend the famous final hill where last year images were lived for the memory; like the fall of Jonny Walker or Mario Román’s technique to become the only rider to climb without help.

Registration will open from June 1st to September 30th or once the number of 300 riders is completed. The price of the registration is 200 € but the riders who register before September will get a bonus of €50 in June, €25 in July, and €10 in August. Registration includes participation to the race, access to the Hixpania Village and the welcome pack. A good option to join the best hard enduro and the atmosphere of a festival. In addition, the organization will have an accommodation service for riders.

Moreover, the classes will be Knights (pro), Archers (experts), Squires (amateurs) and Hixpanos (non-competitive class). All riders that finish Hixpania in competitive class will have the prized medal of ‘finisher’. In addition, the best of the Archers and Squires riders will be named knights to compete with the best riders of the world in the final race of Sunday called The Lost Way, the only race that has the starting line inside a cave.

In 2017, the Husqvarna rider Graham Jarvis was the winner ahead of Jonny Walker (KTM) and the Spanish Alfredo Gómez (KTM). More than 18,000 people attended the three-day race where more than 350 riders from 15 countries participated.
